About
Cornwall Council awarded a contract to Cornwall College for the Agriculture Bas Carbone for Dairy Farms (ABCD) project, a joint initiative between Cornwall Council and Finistere Council funded by the EU's Interreg Channel Programme.
The project focused on measuring carbon emissions from on-farm milk production systems in Brittany and Cornwall, assessing the impact of different feeding and management regimes in reducing these emissions, comparing and contrasting research results to identify and communicate differences to the dairy sector, and measuring and reporting additional carbon savings from the capture of fugitive methane emissions on Cornwall Council Farms (UK-only element).
The contract value was AUD 158,330.46.
