Delivery of 'Living with Teenagers' Parenting Group Work Programmes for Leicester City Council

About

Leicester City Council awarded a contract to Centre for Fun & Families Ltd for the planning and delivery of nine 'Living with Teenagers' parenting group work programmes between 1 September 2015 and 31 September 2016, with three programmes per academic term (summer, autumn, and spring).

Each group runs for two hours per week over seven weeks, facilitated by trained facilitators, and includes a home visit for each participant to maximize engagement.

The programme targets families identified for Early Help Family Support, aiming to improve parenting capacity by helping parents and carers understand behaviour and make positive changes, thereby increasing parental confidence, improving parent-child relationships, reducing conflict and parental stress, enhancing understanding of child needs, and increasing the number of parents who feel supported.

The contract value was £31,500.
