The London Borough of Redbridge is seeking input from voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise organisations to inform the recommissioning of its Healthy Child Programme by testing market capacity for community engagement, outreach and co‑production. The council is considering allocating up to £100,000 per year from the contract funding envelope to commission capacity aimed at improving awareness of, trust in and access to the universal Healthy Child Programme offer, including universal developmental reviews, with a particular focus on communities that are less well reached or face barriers to access. The Healthy Child Programme provides an integrated Health Visiting and School Nursing Service delivering a full 0–19 years public health offer that works across services and organisational boundaries to improve outcomes for babies, children, young people and their families. As part of a Market Engagement Exercise, providers are invited to complete the Market Engagement Questionnaire to help shape the service specification, identify opportunities for integration and innovation, and ensure future services meet local needs and reduce health inequalities; this is not a formal tender. Responses must be submitted via the London Tenders Portal by 5pm on Wednesday 18 November 2026.
