About

National Museums On Merseyside awarded a contract to Tryka LED Ltd for the upgrade of exterior lighting on the World Museum's facades along William Brown Street and Byrom Street.

The works involved replacing existing single-colour sodium light fittings with fully programmable, colour-changing LED fittings to enable dynamic facade illumination.

The new system was required to be flexible, allowing reprogramming to any colour, rolling colour spectrum programmes, or settings similar to the original sodium lighting.

The upgrade was timed to support the 'China's First Emperor and the Terracotta Warriors' exhibition, enabling the museum to colour wash the facades in red for the exhibition's duration.

The contract value was £52,620.22.
