About

Plymouth City Council awarded a contract to P.A.T.H.

(Plymouth Access To Housing) Limited for the delivery of an innovative, trauma-informed resettlement support service.

The service provides place-based, person-centred advice and guidance to individuals with recourse to public funds arriving through government-managed resettlement schemes or granted leave to remain via the asylum system, aiming to support settlement and integration into the host community.

Key outcomes include improved access to housing, increased self-sufficiency through employment and welfare benefit maximisation, improved independence via strengthened social connections, language skills, and digital inclusion, improved cultural competency in local communities and services, positive health outcomes, and improved English language acquisition through ESOL access.

The service operates as a recognised partnership contributing to community cohesion, generates evidence on refugee integration and self-sufficiency, informs future policy and service delivery, and supports other organisations to become more culturally aware and competent.

The contract value is AUD 2,413,000.84.
