About

Ofcom awarded a contract to Yonder Consulting Ltd for research on UK children's online passive measurement.

The project involved recruiting a robust sample of approximately 700 UK children aged 8-14 to monitor their use of websites and apps across smartphones, tablets, and computers for a minimum of four consecutive weeks.

The sample was designed to include children from diverse backgrounds (age, gender, socio-economic group, region/nation, ethnic group, and disability/long-term limiting health condition) to enable reporting on demographic segments.

Deliverables included a data dashboard, bespoke charts and tables, a one-hour workshop with Ofcom's core team, and another one-hour session with wider Ofcom colleagues to share the analysis.

All deliverables were required to be fully accessible.

The contract value was AUD 629,800.
