About

UKROEd Ltd awarded a contract to TRL Limited for a research evaluation of seven National Driver Offender Retraining Scheme courses.

The evaluation aimed to identify whether the courses resulted in a change in target behaviour, whether any change was maintained beyond the course period, which psychological constructs, behaviour change techniques, and other factors (such as trainer characteristics) impacted outcomes, what barriers to changing behaviour clients experienced, and how courses could be improved.

The contract was initially for a three-year period, with the first year focused on developing methods and data collection materials and commencing data collection, the second year on a full evaluation of each course, and the third year on a targeted evaluation of findings from Year 2 requiring further exploration.

The contract value was AUD 400,000.
