About
The Department for Education awarded a contract to The Scout Association for the Get Into Teaching Candidate Pipeline Strategy Campaign 2024.
The contract, valued at AUD 129,000, aimed to address teacher sufficiency challenges by promoting teaching as a career to new audiences, particularly young people aged 14-18 in the Scouts' Explorers group.
The partnership involved developing engaging activities to build teaching-related skills and raise awareness of teaching careers among both young people and adult volunteers, with a focus on STEM and Modern Foreign Languages.
The contract was structured on a 1+1+1 basis, allowing termination after the first year if needed.
