Mentoring Support for Young Adult Offenders in Merseyside
Awarded 31 Jul 2020
About
Merseyside Police - Procurement Department awarded a contract to Sefton CVS for mentoring support for young adult offenders.
The service aims to reduce violent reoffending rates by supporting offenders through the gate on release from prison to successfully resettle back into Merseyside by engaging them with a mentor.
The mentor works with them on a weekly basis to remove the triggers of offending behavior by following established pathways out of offending (accommodation, drug and alcohol misuse, finances, health and wellbeing, and education employment and training).
The contract value is AUD 50,000.
