Design and Build of Social Housing on Infill Plots for Stevenage Borough Council

About

Stevenage Borough Council awarded a contract to S J M and Co.

Ltd for the design and build of social housing on various infill plots around the town.

The framework agreement, valued at up to £1.95 million, covers the development of small infill sites, typically accommodating no more than three units per plot, primarily family-sized three or four bedroom houses.

The Council is responsible for identifying sites, and the agreement will remain in place for a maximum of four years or until the value is expended, whichever is sooner.

The contractor will provide a build cost per square meter based on the Employers Requirements and sign up to the template JCT for each site delivered.
