About

Ministry of Justice awarded a contract to Get Skills Employment & Training Ltd for the provision of Careers Information, Advice and Guidance (CIAG) services under Lot 8 of the Prisoner Education Service (PES) programme.

The contract, valued at £4,963,018, supports HMPPS's strategic priorities to improve prisoner numeracy and literacy, incentivise skills development, and equip governors to lead education, skills, and work initiatives.

The CIAG service aims to reduce reoffending by helping prisoners from induction to release identify career aspirations, set education and work-related goals, and achieve employment or further education upon release.

This procurement covers all HMPPS-managed prisons in England, excluding four privately operated prisons, and replaces services previously commissioned via the Prison Education Dynamic Purchasing System (PEDPS).

Service delivery commenced on 1 April 2025.
