The Council is seeking suppliers to deliver a Financial Resilience Service and a countywide Community Coordination function in Leicestershire, funded by the Department for Work and Pensions to support households in financial crisis and invest in longer-term preventative activities that strengthen financial resilience and reduce future reliance on crisis support. The service aims to improve financial resilience, increase access to advice and support, reduce debt and repeat crisis demand, and enhance collaboration across organisations to provide joined-up, person-centred support. The procurement is split into eight lots: Lots 1–7 cover individual districts (Lot 1 Blaby, pop. 103,271; Lot 2 Charnwood, pop. 182,906; Lot 3 Harborough, pop. 98,254; Lot 4 Hinckley & Bosworth, pop. 113,653; Lot 5 Melton, pop. 51,756; Lot 6 North West Leicestershire, pop. 105,004; Lot 7 Oadby & Wigston, pop. 57,788) reflecting urban, suburban and predominantly rural localities and varied levels of financial need; Lot 8 is a countywide Community Coordination role working across all seven districts to strengthen collaboration between Financial Resilience Service providers, local authorities, VCSE organisations and wider stakeholders for a population of approximately 712,000 residents. The contract runs for 2 years and 5 months from 02 November 2026 to 31 March 2029 with a total allocated budget of £3,411,573.
