About

British Transport Police awarded a contract to Evidential Ltd.

for the development and supply of computer-generated virtual reality training to enhance the Student Officer Training programme.

The contract, valued at AUD 41,000, required the creation of at least three distinct environments, including a railway station, and a minimum of six scenarios, two of which had to cover a railway fatality and a counter-terrorism situation.

The VR experiences were designed to provide a high degree of situational realism, allowing users to interact with characters and objects, and to be used in a classroom setting with trainer manipulation of scenarios.

The supplier also provided headsets and necessary hardware free of charge.
