Tender: Mayor’s Youth Clubs Safety Programme – Pan‑London Specialist Youth Worker Network
Released 16 days ago
About
The London Violence Reduction Unit (VRU), hosted by the Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC), is seeking a provider to deliver the Mayor’s Youth Clubs Safety Programme, a pan-London service supplying a network of specialist youth workers to work alongside Mayoral-funded youth clubs and support young people (primarily 14–24) who are affected by or vulnerable to violence and exploitation. The contract commences 4 January 2027 with an eight-week mobilisation and delivery from 1 March 2027 to 31 March 2029 (initial 25-month period), with an option to extend up to 12 months. The service will provide a regular presence in Mayoral youth clubs, targeted 1:1 support and casework, needs and contextual safeguarding assessments, referral pathways into statutory, community and specialist services, workshops and group work, and a connected pan-London practitioner network that shares intelligence and effective practice. The provider must embed trauma-informed practice, lived experience and cultural sensitivity throughout delivery, work closely with youth club providers and statutory partners, and deliver across the Mayoral-funded youth clubs covering 32 boroughs and the City of London (33 Mayoral-funded youth clubs) with an expected minimum 2:1 youth club-to-youth-worker ratio. The initial budget for the 25-month period is up to £2,900,000 excluding VAT, with an optional additional budget of up to £1,400,000 excluding VAT for a further 12-month extension, giving a total potential contract value of £4,300,000 excluding VAT.
