UK SHARED BUSINESS SERVICES LIMITED awarded a contract to Frontier Economics for research on income losses for displaced workers in the UK.

The study aimed to provide an up-to-date analysis of income losses, unpacking the distinction between pay and employment across recent economic cycles, and to examine how losses vary by circumstances and personal characteristics such as age, skill level, job tenure, occupation, initial salary, sector, and location.

It also sought to understand spatial and temporal interdependencies, including the additional impact of multiple redundancies in the same labour market area, and to explore alternative losses beyond income, such as the sector and occupation of future employment and skill transferability.

The contract value was AUD 96,950.
