Interpretation of LIDAR Data for Carbon Stock Assessment on GB Farms
Awarded 01 Dec 2024
About
AHDB awarded a contract to Trinity Agtech for interpreting LIDAR scanning data to assess above and below ground carbon stocks for hedgerows and trees, and to map run-off risk on farms across Great Britain.
The project covers 120-200 mixed farms, aiming to establish a net carbon balance and evaluate natural capital.
Trinity Agtech will use LIDAR datasets, aerial imagery, and published allometric models to derive above ground carbon stocks and other relevant outputs.
The contract value is 64,000 GBP.
