About
Sandwell And West Birmingham Hospitals awarded a contract to Jacob Chandler LTD for the design, fabrication and installation of an inspirational sculpture for the Midland Metropolitan University Hospital.
The sculpture features a figure hinting at Florence Nightingale's 'Lady with the Lamp', standing atop a stylised kite shield base, symbolising the brave work of healthcare professionals during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The piece is free of race, colour and creed, reflecting the diversity of the UK and the hospital's surrounding area, and serves as recognition and thanks to hospital staff, patients and families.
The contract value is £42,500.
