Cefas is seeking a supplier for the supply, installation and configuration of a rack-mounted Avigilon Network Video Recorder to replace an end-of-support server at its Weymouth laboratory. The new server must support approximately 18 encoders and up to 20 client users, be compatible with an existing camera network of about 30 analogue cameras, use a RAID6 array able to tolerate two disk failures, provide enough storage to retain high-definition images for a minimum of one month before overwrite and allow future upgrades to IP/high-definition imaging, run a modern supported Windows Server operating system such as Windows Server 2022 or 2025, and include appropriately licensed Avigilon Server software. Quotations must include Avigilon software installation, connectivity to the camera network, coordination with Cefas IT Services for networking, endpoint protection and monitoring, and the supplier should provide a genuine Avigilon hardware appliance with ultra-low power consumption and ethical/recyclable packaging disposal where possible. All parts must be covered by warranty starting from acceptance, with a minimum 12-month warranty that includes part replacements (including disk failures) and options for on-site or remote support; delivery to Cefas Weymouth Laboratory is required before 27 February 2026 and bidders should confirm lead time in their submission.
