A partnership of public and private landowners is seeking a supplier to develop a stakeholder‑agreed long‑term Strategic Management Plan for the Sussex Heritage Coast covering Seven Sisters, Beachy Head, Lullington Heath and Friston Forest between Seaford and Eastbourne. The plan will identify existing issues and opportunities for economic, environmental and social enhancement, including public health measures tied to suicide prevention and intervention, and produce a proposed five‑year delivery plan. The scope covers sustainable visitor management and dispersal; sustainable transport, active travel and site connectivity and access research; supporting visitor economy growth and identifying market opportunities including technology and innovation; embracing cultural heritage, artisan crafts and small enterprise; coordinated marketing and communications; shared approaches to public safety such as suicide prevention, cliff, beach and river safety; and protecting and promoting nature recovery. Deliverables are a Phase 1 findings report presented at a stakeholder meeting, a Phase 2 draft themes report presented at a stakeholder meeting, and a Phase 3 final document and five‑year delivery plan presented at a stakeholder meeting.
