Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority is seeking a consultant to identify and prioritise nature‑based intervention opportunities to improve water quality in the lower Western Cleddau (and possibly other catchments if feasible within the budget). The work will use a transparent, weighted multi‑criteria approach to assess water quality benefit, source/pathway/receptor linkages, hydrological connectivity, intervention potential and implementation feasibility, supported by GIS analysis to map pollution sources, pathways, receptors and priority reaches from available datasets. Stakeholder and landowner engagement will support fieldwork access, inform feasibility and foster future implementation support, while targeted walkovers will ground‑truth and refine the assessment. Deliverables include an updateable GIS opportunity and prioritisation database, a mapbook, a narrative report and selected case studies/scenarios; the assessment should distinguish strategic priorities from actionable opportunities and briefly consider future nutrient mitigation/credit potential and how that might influence uptake. Budget: £38,000 ex VAT, funded by Esteé Lauder Companies UK & Ireland via the UK National Parks Foundation.
