St Helens Borough Council is seeking feedback from organisations to inform the recommissioning of its Integrated Wellbeing Service, the Council’s main public health prevention offer that brings together six delivery areas under a single arrangement. The current arrangement ends on 30 June 2027 and a new contract is expected to commence on 1 July 2027; the Council anticipates a five-year contract with options for two one-year extensions though this is not confirmed, and indicates an annual value of around £1.9m with final value and scope subject to confirmation and some grant-funded elements potentially excluded. The Council is interested in views from organisations of all types and sizes, including NHS bodies, private providers, social enterprises and voluntary, community and faith organisations, whether they would bid for the whole service, individual elements, or in partnership; interested suppliers must complete a company information form and a short questionnaire and return it by 12 noon on 30 September 2026 and may be invited to meet Council representatives, and all questions must be submitted via the Messages facility on The Chest. Participation is non-binding, will not provide a commercial advantage in any future procurement, and information provided will not be used in any evaluation of subsequent procurement responses.

This opportunity could be ideal for organisations with experience in public health prevention and integrated service delivery, including providers able to deliver single elements or form partnerships; key considerations are the unresolved contract structure and term, the indicative (not guaranteed) annual value of ~£1.9m, the potential exclusion of some grant-funded elements, and strict submission and communication rules (deadline 12:00 on 30 Sep 2026 and questions only via The Chest).
