South London HIV services are seeking a provider or consortium to deliver standardised in-clinic peer support and advice & advocacy (A&A) as part of post-diagnosis care for people diagnosed with HIV through the Emergency Department (ED) Blood-Borne Virus (BBV) Opt-Out Testing Programme across South London. The service will operate as an integral part of multidisciplinary teams in all HIV clinics to provide peer support and A&A for holistic needs including housing, finances and immigration advice, and signposting to drug and alcohol or mental health services where applicable; ensure equitable access to support to improve understanding and acceptance of diagnosis, increase engagement and retention in care and effective HIV treatment, follow the National Standards in HIV Peer Support guidance, improve skills and confidence to tackle stigma, and implement robust outcome measures and data reporting. Partnership and consortium bids are encouraged to maximise expertise and strengthen engagement within the HIV voluntary and community sector.
