Tender: Redesign and Construction of Multi Use Games Area at Hordle Recreation Ground
Released 11 months ago
About
Hordle Parish Council is seeking a contractor to redesign and construct a Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) at Hordle Recreation Ground to support tennis, basketball, netball, pickleball and 5-a-side football. The existing sports area is approximately 40 x 20m and is enclosed by a wire mesh fence; two storage sheds at one end will need to be retained or relocated. A separate 10 x 20m area formerly used for cricket nets requires removal of the old surface, renovation and installation of one table tennis table. The works include removal and disposal of existing lighting and fencing, clearance and preparation of surfaces, design and installation of a new year-round drainage system integrated with existing drainage where applicable, supply and installation of a multi-sport playing surface with sport-standard line marking, perimeter fencing and access gates, a cycle rack, and any necessary landscaping or reinstatement including the option to reinstate a 19 x 19m lay-down area as an overflow car park using EcoGrid mesh or equivalent. Interested contractors must submit a detailed pricing breakdown, proposed timeline, evidence of relevant experience and qualifications, references, and insurance and health & safety documentation; a site visit can be arranged on request. Tenders must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked "MUGA Tender Submission" by noon Friday 19th December to the Clerk at Hordle Parish Council (Hordle Pavilion, Vaggs Lane, Hordle, Lymington, SO41 0FP); queries to Clerk Sarah Pitt at [email protected] or 01425 611 119. The contractor is responsible for obtaining relevant permits or licences, liaising with utilities for water/drainage/gas/electrical works, and providing on-site welfare facilities; the council will allow access to the Pavilion for drinking water and will designate a lay-down area, and all large deliveries must be agreed with the council prior to delivery to ensure public safety.
