Tender: Opto‑Mechanical Multiple InfraRed Mirror System for B22 Beamline at Diamond Light Source
Released 5 months ago
About
Diamond Light Source is seeking a supplier to design, manufacture and deliver an opto-mechanical multiple InfraRed (IR) mirror system for the B22 beamline at the Harwell Science & Innovation Campus in Oxfordshire as part of the Diamond-II programme. The contract covers a shared-concept system to support three synchrotron IR mirrors (M2a, M2b and M2c — mirrors themselves are excluded from this tender) with motorised 3-point kinematic motion, an Ultra High Vacuum (UHV) vacuum vessel, support structures and fine adjustments for mechanical alignment. B22 is an IR/THz beamline using a dipole-quadrupole (DQ) synchrotron source in the Diamond-II storage ring, operating from 1 meV to 1 eV (approximately 1 µm to 1 mm wavelength) and providing IR and THz radiation for microspectroscopy and nanospectroscopy; visible light from the source is also collected for optical alignment.
