Thorne-Moorends Town Council is seeking a suitably experienced operator to manage the bar facilities at the new Moorends Pavilion on Moorends Recreational Ground. The pavilion, currently in construction, will serve local sports teams, community groups and private events and includes an events space, modern kitchen, bar and sports facilities. The licence area covers a bar of approximately 7m x 2m, a cellar room of approximately 5.4m x 2.8m and use of an office for administrative purposes; the bar will be fitted with shutters and the licensee would be expected to operate the bar for any events where alcohol service is required while hiring of the hall and other facilities remains under Council control. The building is secured with CCTV and an alarm system but the licensee must insure their own stock and equipment. For details and the application form contact Sam Goodfellow, Town Clerk at [email protected] or Assembly Rooms, Fieldside, Thorne, Doncaster DN8 4AE, tel (01405) 818015. Proposed contract commencement: TBC. Tender return date: by 12pm, 10th April 2026. If you are interested in running the cafe with effect from 2025, please request details of the application process and form from Sam Goodfellow, Town Clerk at email: [email protected] address: Assembly Rooms, Fieldside, Thorne, Doncaster DN8 4AE, telephone: (01405) 818015.

This tender is likely valuable to experienced bar or hospitality operators accustomed to serving sports clubs, community groups and private events; key considerations include the relatively small bar footprint (approx. 7m x 2m) and cellar size, responsibility to insure your own stock and equipment, expectation to provide alcohol service for council-run events, and that the pavilion is a new facility still under construction with contract commencement to be confirmed and a tender return deadline of 12pm on 10 April 2026.
