Broxtowe Borough Council is seeking a supplier to operate The Pencil Works Enterprise Hub in Stapleford, managing and operating the new facilities, driving occupancy and income generation, and delivering business support, events and community programming. The hub, funded with £6.2 million from the UK Government's Towns Fund and due for completion in October 2026, will provide office, retail, makerspace and creative facilities to support the growth of the creative, digital and cultural sectors, increase local skills and opportunities, offer flexible start-up and scale-up spaces, and support wider economic regeneration of Stapleford town centre. The successful supplier will be expected to create an integrated active environment across all uses and work in partnership with the Council to deliver long-term sustainability; the contract is for an initial 5-year term with three 24-month optional extensions.
