London Borough of Bromley is seeking engagement with current and potential delivery providers and wider stakeholders for the re-commissioning of its Tier 2 Child Weight Management Service. The service provides support to children living with obesity and their wider families and should include nutrition and physical activity support to deliver key public health priorities. The Council intends to award a single contract to one provider; the pre-procurement market engagement aims to gather feedback on market interest, and the capacity and ability of prospective suppliers to deliver the proposed service, and to help shape and refine the future service specification and delivery model. The event will present the Council’s commissioning intentions, the proposed service delivery model and expectations, and the anticipated procurement process, timelines and next steps. The contract is planned to commence on 1 April 2027 for a period of five years to 31 March 2032. A market engagement event has been scheduled on Thursday 8th October July 2026 between 3 and 4pm and will be delivered online via Microsoft Teams; suppliers wishing to attend should complete the registration form attached to this notice no later than midday on Tuesday 6 October 2026 and return it via the Message function on ProContract.

This could be valuable for current and potential delivery providers and public health partners experienced in family-focused child weight management and delivering nutrition and physical activity programmes. Key considerations: the Council intends to award a single five-year contract starting 1 April 2027 so bidders must demonstrate capacity to deliver over the full contract period; note the market engagement event is listed as "Thursday 8th October July 2026 between 3 and 4pm" and registration is required by midday on Tuesday 6 October 2026.
