The University of Sheffield is seeking a supplier for a high-throughput nanoindentation platform for quantitative mechanical characterisation of biological samples and biomaterials. The integrated system must combine high-resolution nanoindentation with optical microscopy and environmental control to enable long-term measurements of live biological samples under physiologically relevant conditions, support high-throughput experimentation using standard multi-well plate formats for mechanobiology studies and drug screening, and be delivered as a turnkey solution including the nanoindentation platform, integrated imaging system, environmental control module, acquisition and analysis software, a computer workstation, installation, commissioning and user training; particular emphasis is placed on high measurement sensitivity, broad mechanical measurement capability, compatibility with live-cell imaging workflows and flexibility to support future research developments.
