Rutland County Council is seeking a supplier for the design, build and installation of a new permanent 'Science Lab' Palaeontology Gallery at Rutland County Museum that will complement a separately procured 10m x 10m immersive box. The gallery will present Rutland's early natural history, exploring life on Earth from approximately 400 million years ago through to the period preceding the Stone Age, and will provide a clear, engaging narrative of evolution while highlighting the work of palaeontologists. The council requires a fully integrated end-to-end service covering concept design, detailed design development, technical design, fabrication, installation, testing and handover, and expects the completed gallery to be accessible, durable and of a high standard to deliver a long-lasting visitor offer. Tender submissions are due by 12 noon on 8 October 2026.
