NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands CSU, on behalf of NHS Birmingham and Solihull ICB, is seeking providers to deliver a Dementia Support Service offering a single point of access for information and advice pre- and post-diagnosis, signposting to support services and community groups, practical emotional support to build resilience, tailored coaching for people with dementia and their carers, and facilitation of peer-led group support. The service aims to improve quality of life through person-centred support that promotes independence and wellbeing, reduces health inequalities, enhances care coordination across health, social care and voluntary sectors, prevents avoidable crises, hospital admissions and delayed discharges, embeds lived experience into design and delivery, and establishes robust referral pathways that address geographical and demographic needs across Birmingham and Solihull. The contract term is two years with an option to extend for up to a further two years, with an annual value of £834,000.
