Wigan Council and NHS Greater Manchester Integrated Care Board (Wigan Locality) are seeking providers to join a Community Living Ethical Framework to deliver high-quality, ethical, asset-based support that helps people live fulfilled and valued lives in their own homes and communities. The Framework aims to create strong, values-based partnerships with providers who deliver strengths-based, community-focused support, recognise and value their workforce, and support a transformed model of care that builds on people’s strengths, networks and aspirations to enable independence and community connection. Providers on the Framework will need to show that people have real control over their care through co-design, that services make a measurable difference through a strengths-based approach, that they plan to avoid or overcome crisis while working within natural communities, that they enable and increase local support networks, that they listen to people whose voices are not easily heard, that they consider the needs of family and carers, that support is culturally sensitive and relevant, and that they take into account a person’s whole life including physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs.
