Tender: Community-Based Early Intervention and Support Service for Women Experiencing Homelessness – Manchester City Council
Released about 2 months ago
About
Manchester City Council is seeking a supplier for a community-based early intervention and support service for women experiencing homelessness. The service will support women facing significant barriers to accessing housing, health and support services, many of whom have experienced multiple disadvantages such as domestic abuse, trauma, poor mental health, substance misuse, neurodivergence and other complex needs. It will deliver gender-informed, trauma-responsive support within a safe, psychologically informed environment to help women address homelessness, improve wellbeing, increase independence and sustain accommodation, working with statutory and voluntary sector organisations through a community-based drop-in model and aiming to assist at least 400 women annually. The successful provider must have access to suitable premises. As part of preliminary market engagement, the Council will host a webinar on Tuesday, 22 September 2026 at 2 pm via Microsoft Teams (registration closes Monday, 21 September 2026 at 4 pm): https://forms.cloud.microsoft/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=Xn3OsM2B-0eU9ydsYmt7CRzgeKbROpJDuMS6cegRdxRUNUFVWDgzTkY2T1FWNkFLNlZKTDFTWUtHQS4u
This opportunity is likely to be relevant to organisations experienced in delivering gender-informed, trauma-responsive support who can operate a community-based drop-in from suitable premises and work with statutory and voluntary sector partners. Key considerations include securing appropriate premises, capacity to support complex and intersecting needs (including domestic abuse, mental health, substance misuse and neurodivergence), and the ability to reach and sustain support for at least 400 women annually.
