City of Wolverhampton Council Public Health is seeking a supplier to deliver Part B of the Yo! Active programme, providing community-based physical activity sessions for children and young people across Wolverhampton. The programme, launched in December 2023, aims to increase regular physical activity, build skills, confidence and social connections, and develop leadership and peer-mentoring pathways so participants can progress into volunteer, youth-worker or advisory roles. The main cohort is residents aged 0–18 with extended eligibility up to age 25 for care leavers and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Part B requires year-round delivery of at least 20 hours of free physical activity per week (weekends and bank holiday delivery to be negotiated), a programme of activities such as skateboarding, snooker, netball, glow sports, nerf club and dance, 15% of delivery for under-5s, 15% for children and young people with SEND, delivery of a Yo! Active leadership and peer mentor programme and advisory panel, evaluation and monitoring of the scheme, and the ability to work with subcontractors. Procurement will follow The Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 competitive process (Regulation 11).
