Withdrawal of RFQ for Thermal Cycle Chamber by National Physical Laboratory
Awarded 01 Aug 2019
About
The National Physical Laboratory withdrew its Request for Quotation for a thermal cycle chamber due to unforeseen circumstances, and no contract was awarded.
The intended procurement was for a system to test thermo-mechanical reliability of electronic circuits by subjecting them to regular thermal excursions across an extended operational range, supporting type approval testing for high-reliability electricals and electrical system manufacturers, as well as fitness for purpose testing for new designs and material combinations.
The innovative metrology developed by NPL for high temperature materials and manufacturing techniques was intended for electric and hybrid development, oil/gas, and aerospace partners, and for benchmarking against widely accepted industry standards.
