About

UK Centre For Ecology & Hydrology awarded a contract to PerkinElmer LAS (UK) Limited for the supply of a thermal gravimetric analyser (TGA).

PerkinElmer was the only supplier capable of providing the TGA system, as other market suppliers only manufacture FTIR systems.

The TGA system enables research at extremely high temperatures, offering a more flexible system for the analysis of a greater range of samples and their evolved gases.

The TL9000e transfer line uses a pump system to pull gases from the TGA through to the gas cell and out at a user-defined rate (10ml-200ml/min), delivering a constant and controlled flow across the temperature range for consistent FTIR response.

The contract value was £68,625.26.
