About
The University of Nottingham awarded a contract to Perkin Elmer for the supply of UV spectrometers for use in undergraduate teaching within the School of Chemistry.
The purchase initiates the replacement of seven existing Perkin Elmer L25 UV spectrometers, six of which are over 14 years old, with the seventh being a newer L365 model identical to the requested instruments.
All spectrometers use the same software, and the decision to procure from Perkin Elmer ensures continuity in software operation and existing written procedures for students and demonstrators, as well as easier troubleshooting and maintenance for the technical team due to interchangeable parts.
The contract value is £25,568.
