Strategic design for national policing data integration and exploitation delivered to Home Office

About

Home Office awarded a contract to Cegeka UK limited for the delivery, by 31 January 2026, of a recommended strategic design for the delivery of policing data integration and exploitation capabilities.

The scope covered data acquisition and management for policing data; exploitation for operational policing purposes, performance management, and strategic research and policy development; capability requirements at local, regional and national levels; optimisation of use of current, planned and commercially available products and services; standard and sensitive data exploitation equities; assessment of impacts on existing capabilities and programmes; alignment with and potential drivers of wider police reform; and a design for integrating data across the criminal justice system and with the Single Unique Identifier proposed by the Department for Education.

The output was to be provided to senior Home Office and policing stakeholders to drive the transformation roadmap in the forthcoming spending review period.
