About
Scottish Government awarded a contract to University of the West of England for a review and assessment of evidence on the health impacts of low-level pollution in countries with ambient air pollution levels comparable to Scotland.
The review supports an action under the Cleaner Air for Scotland 2 strategy, published in July 2021, which aims to deliver further air quality improvements to 2026.
The scope includes examining the scale of health effects, understanding possible reasons for variation in findings between Scottish studies and those in comparable countries regarding the association of air pollution with cardiovascular disease, and analyzing factors contributing to such variation.
The contract value was £8,775.47.
