Review of Agri-tech Innovation Centres for BEIS
Awarded 09 Sep 2018
About
UK Shared Business Services Limited awarded a contract to ICILA LIMITED for a review of Agri-tech Innovation Centres, building upon BEIS' initial internal analysis and outlining the economic and business case for the Centres.
The review assessed the impact of the Centres' activities, including contributions to businesses, academia, and the wider research community, and evaluated value for money relative to other sector interventions.
It examined the credibility of the Centres' future business and delivery plans post-March 2020, including robustness of plans, market projections, and strategies for maximising impact and achieving self-sufficiency, as well as the reasonableness of government support requested.
The review also assessed the continued rationale for government intervention, whether original market failures persist or new ones have emerged, and whether the Centres have moved away from their original brief.
It evaluated additional impact from further government funding, the level and type of support offering best value for money, and the effectiveness of governance and management, developing recommendations for improvement.
The contract value was AUD 43,220.
