Research on Weight Management for Secondary-Age Children in Leeds
Awarded 04 Nov 2021
About
Leeds City Council awarded a contract to Leeds Beckett University for a research and consultation project with secondary-age children (12-18 years old) and their parents in Leeds to understand how to support families with overweight children.
The project explored eating and physical activity habits, influences on these behaviours, views on body weight and body image, and levels of confidence and resilience.
It also gathered insight from children and parents about approaches and support that have helped them maintain a healthy weight and what support they would like to maintain this.
The contract value was AUD 24,181.
