About

West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue awarded a contract to Jupiter Construction Limited for general refurbishment at Todmorden Fire Station.

The works included internal layout alterations for contaminated fire kit management, relocation of fire kit storage, creation of a gym facility, and Dignity and Respect toilet facilities.

Ground and first floor shower and washing improvements were made, providing three separate combined WC, basin, and shower pods.

The alteration works involved converting the fourth appliance bay into a dedicated gymnasium/fitness training room and relocating the operational fire kit storage area, necessitating new masonry and access elevation works to replace the appliance bay doors to the fourth bay.
