About

Kent County Council awarded a contract to Agilent Technologies LDA UK Ltd for the purchase of scientific equipment, including a liquid chromatography mass spectrometer triple quadrupole, a gas chromatography mass spectrometer single quadrupole, a high-performance liquid chromatography instrument with diode array detector, and a high-performance liquid chromatography mass spectrometer with diode array detector and fluorescence detector.

The contract, valued at AUD 260,000, was procured under Regulation 32 of the 2015 Public Contract Regulations (b)(ii) due to the absence of competition for technical reasons, as the equipment is highly technical and alternative technologies would result in significant changes and costs to the overall service.
