About

Doncaster MBC awarded a contract to Eurovia for public realm improvement works in Doncaster town centre, specifically on St Sepulchre Gate, West Laith Gate, and Duke Street.

The works included excavation and disposal of existing pavement surfaces, replacement with high-quality materials, reduction of carriageway widths, widened footways, and a bi-directional cycleway.

Landscaped planting beds were created, some used for sustainable drainage, and trees, shrubs, and plants were planted.

New road signs and street furniture were installed.

The work was undertaken while shops, businesses, and residential properties continued to operate.

The contract was awarded under the Midlands Highways Alliance Medium Schemes Framework 3 (MSF3) and was valued at AUD 2,400,000.
