Denbighshire County Council is seeking a contractor to upgrade the Pwll y Grawys area in Denbigh by improving and extending existing footpaths and active travel links for pedestrians and cyclists. Proposed measures include removing the existing roundabout and replacing it with two mini-roundabouts, installing a zebra crossing, widening sections of narrow paths, increasing the junction radius, improving crossing facilities, introducing dropped kerbs, and enhancing the quality of the footways. The aim is to develop active travel links especially for school pupils and people travelling from residential areas to the west into the town centre, to encourage walking and cycling; Denbigh is a traditional market town that attracts tourism for its medieval history and castle and is located in the heart of Denbighshire.
