About

Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council awarded a contract to Michael Disley Sculpture and Patrick Murphy Studio for the creation of a public art commission in Penistone town.

The commission involved producing an original creative piece for the town's public realm, engaging local communities—particularly young people—through workshops and activities to increase awareness of Penistone's culture and heritage, and creating a linked watermark for incorporation into wayfinding and heritage trails.

The contract value was AUD 77,875, inclusive of travel, subsistence, expenses, and production and installation costs, with completion required by 30 June 2021.
