About

The Ministry of Defence awarded a contract to Redbay Ltd for the provision and facilitation of cyber 'pre-mortems' as part of the CARP (Cyber Assessment and Recovery Programme) transformational project.

The contract, valued at £819,600, aimed to improve the MOD's ability to recover safely and efficiently from cyber-incidents by delivering direction, support, and tools to empower system/service owners to develop, embed, test, and improve their individual cyber recovery plans and processes.

The pre-mortem workshops, typically lasting 1-2 days, were designed to work through scenarios of potential threat cases to identify pre-emptive steps to mitigate incidents and to outline recovery steps if incidents occur.
