Awarded 28 Mar 2023
About
The Ministry of Defence awarded a contract to NEC Software Solutions UK Limited for the provision of Charter software, joint licensing, and support for the Service Police Crime Bureau (SPCB), the wider Royal Military Police (RMP), and partner forces including RAF Police, Royal Navy Police, and MOD Police.
The contract covers a twelve-month period from 03 February 2023 to 02 February 2024, with a value of £176,419.
The scope includes replacing and uplifting the annual software license and support for Charter, a covert policing case management tool used by law enforcement agencies governed by the Investigative Powers Act.
As part of the Datacentre rationalisation program, the contract requires converting the Charter application from its current Oracle database to Microsoft SQL and migrating the application and its data into the MOD Cloud hosting environment (ACE SO2).
