About

Worcester City Council awarded a contract to Idverde Limited for landscaping works and specified improvements at Meco Memorial Nature Park in Worcester.

The project involved creating a small informal park on public open space bounded by St John's Cemetery, allotments, existing housing, and a recent development at Willis Place, to incorporate a memorial to victims of World War 2 bombing raids on the local Meco Works and provide an amenity for local people.

The works were carried out with sensitivity to ecology, including the presence of slow worms relocated from adjoining land as a planning condition for the adjacent housing development.

The contract value was AUD 24,278.56.
