About

Durham County Council awarded a contract to SafeLives for the delivery of the SafeLives Engage Programme, a specialised training programme provided by the programme authors and owners.

The training included wrap-around support while learning was embedded into the workforce and was available only from this single supplier.

Its purpose was to equip staff with the knowledge, confidence, skills, and tools to engage with domestic abuse perpetrators and those who cause harm who do not recognise or acknowledge their abusive behaviours, enabling them to acknowledge those behaviours and be prepared to access the preventative programme already commissioned via another provider, Harbour Support Services.

The contract value was AUD 78,000.
