About

North East Lincolnshire Council awarded a contract to Swans Productions Limited for the delivery of the Grimsby Festival of the Sea in Grimsby town centre in July 2023, with an extension clause for 2024 delivery.

The festival aimed to showcase Grimsby's relationship with the sea, with a particular focus on seafood, and to provide a family day out.

It featured content showcasing local skills and talents, a market selling food, drinks, and crafts from primarily local providers, and brought together businesses, educational establishments, community groups, heritage experts, creative individuals, and arts organisations.

The event encouraged creative ways to highlight Grimsby's seafood for local and national audiences and aimed to develop national and international links.

The contract value was £25,000.
